Mindfulness of Nature

Fall in love with the wild: Join me in Chile & Argentina this year!

Dear friends,

Life is short and winter can feel long …right?  😉

Whether you need time away from it all, want to escape the European winter, fancy a new adventure or need some time out to connect with yourself in the wilderness in a supportive, relaxed and fun setting, one of my upcoming events in South America may be what you are looking for!

It’s always been a dream for me to bring people out to the Chilean and Argentinian Lake District region, one of my favourite wild places on Earth, to experience the real, tangible magic of these ancient fairytale mountains, lakes and forests.  I’ll be leading two holiday retreats there this year (where, by the way, November – December is late spring early summer…). Here’s my official invitation for you to join me!

The first will take place 4th-14th November 2018 in Huerquehue National Park, Chile hosted by Refugio Tinquilco.  I first visited Huerquehue National Park 10 years ago; it’s the place that inspired my first book Mindfulness and the Natural World – as well as my career in international conservation. There are few better places on Earth than this land of ancient Araucaria forests, crystal-clear lagoons and snow-capped volcanoes to experience the power of pristine wilderness. Huerquehue’s tangibly magical forests are also home to a huge diversity of fauna including the Pudu (smaller deer in the world!), the Güiña cat, the Magellanic Woodpecker, Darwin’s frog, and If you are lucky – you may even catch a glimpse of the majestic Condor…  I can assure you that you can’t help but fall in love with this place… You can join the retreat for anytime between 2 and ten days. Find out more here.

The second will take place 25th November – 5th December 2018 at Earthship Patagonia. I stayed at this beautiful ecolodge last year during my Patagonian travels – situated in the mellow village of El Bolsón at the foot of the Piltriquitron Mountain surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Earthship Patagonia is the result of dreams, hard work and huge creativity pursued by our host, Trenton Doyle and his friends from around the world – passionate about holistic self-care and environmental stewardship, Solar panels, integrated water recycling, upcycled building materials, stunning adobe finishing, and an advanced passive solar thermal design for temperature regulation combine to offer you one of the most eco-conscious stays you can imagine! You can join the retreat for anytime between 2 and ten days. Find out more here.

So remember, life is short … and what more to life is there that enjoying “being alive”, part of the this wild, beautiful, magical natural world we’re all part of?

Perhaps it’s time to “brave the wilderness”?

Hope to see some of you there!

Claire x

PS. My main motivation for leading these retreats is to (mindfully :)) share these wild places with you all. If the cost of the courses is a significant deciding factor in not being able to join, please get in touch with me to discuss further.
