An invitation to explore your personal experience
I’d describe my approach as a down-to-earth invitation to explore your experience of yourself, others and nature in a safe, pressure-free, gentle and genuine environment. Whether in a group or 1:1, I’ll meet you where you are – and you’re welcome whatever your experience, beliefs or background. I consider my role to be to inspire and empower you to trust your own experiences and come alive to yourself – whatever that feels like for you at the time. As well as using mindfulness practices and reflective discussions, I love sharing poems, playing games, and using other creative activities as other ways to explore our experiences.
“Claire is an engaging, natural, inspiring, caring, real and genuine person. She clearly loves what she does and it’s infectious! She also has a delightful sense of humour!”

‘Wellness’ & ‘Mindfulness’ in Western culture
My experience of today’s ‘wellness’ and ‘mindfulness’ industries sometimes leaves me feeling cynical and disappointed – often taking themselves too seriously or presented as solutions to ending our pain and suffering which I don’t think they are. To me, mindfulness is about being curious about our experiences of aliveness – the pleasant and the painful. With practice, it can then become a doorway to welcome more truth, creativity, beauty, wonder, compassion, love, joy and peace into our lives.
“I’m a very anxious person but after a few hours in a group with Claire, I felt surprisingly safe. I felt no pressure to do or share anything I didn’t want to. Somehow, Claire brought out the best in me”

Hard work, fun and humility
My approach is influenced by my belief that developing a more mindful relationship with life requires a serious commitment – as well as the ability to be playful and not take ourselves too seriously.
Although I do consider myself to be a spiritual person, I believe that spirituality is only relevant if it leads us to behave in more peaceful and compassionate ways in the reality of our day-to-day lives. I also think that our efforts to bring spirituality into real-life challenges and choices must take into account the complexities, contradictions, limitations and opportunities we face as human beings. To me, spiritual growth is an ongoing, humble inner journey where I’m always growing closer to who I am – and remain a lifelong learner. Developing our spirituality (whatever form this takes for each of us) is an opportunity to discover how and where we can share ourselves and our gifts with the world in a meaningful way.
“I was pretty cynical about mindfulness but thought I’d give it a go. And I immediately trusted Claire. She is down-to-earth, genuine, considered, knowledgeable, yet humble.”
