Love the natural world? Interested in well-being and in how our well-being and that of the rest of the natural world are interlinked? Keen to get to know Trumpington Meadows in Granchester more intimately?
Join me in collaboration with the Wildlife Trust for Cambridgeshire for this 5 week course starting again on 10th August 2019 – to explore our relationship with the natural world and discover how being more mindful of nature can inspire us to bring forth a healthier, happier, more peaceful and sustainable world.
The total cost of the course is £160 and includes 5 half-day sessions, 9am to 12pm, on 10th August, 24th August, 31st August, 7th September and 14th September.
The “Bringing Our Awareness Back to Nature” course provided a real opportunity to explore mindfulness and to connect with the natural world. It was an inspiring combination of excellent facilitation and delightful location in the Nature Reserve. There was a powerful mix of mindfulness exercises, meditations, discussions, poems, and walks and Claire provided exactly the right balance between keeping on track and allowing the group some flexibility.Jeremy, former participant
Our disconnection from nature within ourselves and around us is the root cause of so many of the physical, mental and global well-being issues we are facing in our modern world today.
“I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.”
This programme, in collaboration with the Wildlife Trust, will combine mindfulness exercises, meditations, games, thought-provoking discussions and reflections exploring our relationship with the natural world as well as guided walks on the reserve (some by the Wildlife Trust who have an excellent knowledge of the reserve and its inhabitants). It will above all be a wonderful opportunity to experience the natural world together mindfully, with others.
Sir David Attenborough
“No one will protect what they don’t care about; and no one will care about what they have never experienced”
