The Power of Nature in TRAIL MAGAZINE!

Dear friends,

In June this year, I had the wonderful opportunity of spending a day in the beautiful Lake District with TRAIL MAGAZINE – the UK’s bestselling hillwalking magazine.

Trail particularly wanted to find out how mindfulness could enhance hillwalking for hiking enthusiasts – and delve a little deeper into my personal claim that “Mindfulness of nature is the key to a happier, more peaceful and more sustainable world”… 

Jenna (the journalist!), Tom (the photographer!) and I set off for a day’s walk along the shores of Derwent Water and then climbed Catbells –  where we enjoyed breathtaking views on a stunning clear summer’s day.  Along the way, I led them through a number of mindfulness exercises and we chatted for hours about the power of walking, of wild places, of nature, of landscapes, of the senses, of life … and everything. A truly memorable experience!
